Juan Hernandez Ortiz

October 6, 1964 ~ September 7, 2020

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Juan Hernandez-Ortiz on the 7th of September 2020 at the age of 55. He will be lovingly remembered by his Mother, Maria De Jesús Hernandez-Ortiz, Brother Agustin and Sister Ana Bertha, Wife, Georgina Rodríguez-Quezada, Children, Monica, Vanessa, Claudia and Juan Jr., Grandchildren, Annastasia, Allianah, Jaylen and Deshawn Jr. Juan is preceded in death by his Father Agustin Hernandez and Brother Salomé Hernandez. Juan will always be remembered for being the oldest son, great brother, excellent husband and father. He was a lover of trains which was proven by his dedication to his career for the last 30 years as a railroad inspector. He loved to travel, cook, dance, sing out loud and always joked around with everyone. Thank you all on behalf of his wife, children and sibilings for your friendship to Juan, for your support during this difficult time and mostly for all your prayers.

    I grew up loving “tortas de jamon” from Atotonilco (in Chicago) thanks to my cousin Juan, who would bring them to me when he would get off of work at wee hours of the night.
