Judy Marie Jennings Little

Judy Marie Little (formerly Judy Jennings), age 79 of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 surrounded by her family. Judy was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to parents, Russel Lambert and Jesse Edna Willard on October 21, 1938. While still a young child she was adopted and raised by David Russell Bailey, who along with her mother, raised her as his own. Judy will be remembered by all for her quick wit and sense of humor. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Marcie Evans and her husband Richard of Marietta, GA and Mylene Dempsey and her husband Jim of New Smyrna Beach, FL She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jessica Currera and husband Frank of Marietta, Jess Cruikshank and wife Molly of Brunswick, GA, Emily Galione and husband Chris of Marietta, Austin Evans of Nashville, TN, and Daniel Evans of Marietta, and three great grandchildren, Ella, Haddie and Rory. Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 6 years, James M. Little. Judy spent much of her working career at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA in the Radiology Department and later as a receptionist in the Women’s Center. Judy loved to read and she especially enjoyed the company of her dogs, Lily and Isabel. She also delighted in feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard. When her children were young, she was an active Brownie/Girl Scout Leader and worked with the United Methodist Youth group. She died a lifelong Steelers fan. Visitation will be held at Southern Cremation and Funeral Home at Cheatham Hill, 1861 Dallas Highway, SW, Marietta, GA 30064 on June 1, 2018 at 10:00am with the memorial service immediately following at 11:00 am. The family would like to thank Patty Ensor for her years of friendship and support. In addition we would like to thank the Kindred Hospice team for the love and care you provided Judy in her home for months and would also like to thank the staff of Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain for keeping her comfortable in her final days.
