Julio Martinez, a business owner and long resident of Smyrna, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday August 20th 2020 surrounded by his family at the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga.
Julio is survived by his wife, Eva Martinez-Mojica; his children, Janet Martinez, Diana Martinez, David Martnez, Carlos Martinez, and Evelyn Martinez; his grandchildren, Anabella Orenday, Jaiden Orenday and Baby Martinez. He is preceded in death by his parents, Justa Martinez-Martinez and Bernardo Martinez-Arce.
Julio was born on July 30, 1968 in Santa Maria Tonanitla, Estado de Mexico, Mexico to Justa and Bernardo Martinez. After completing school in Mexico, he worked as a welder until meeting his future wife, Eva Martinez- Mojica. Shortly after meeting, both Julio and his wife decided to embark on a new beginning coming to the United States for better opportunities. Soon after arriving in California in 1992, they gave birth to their first daughter, Janet Martinez. Julio and his family then decided to move to Smyrna, GA in 1993 in hopes of better job opportunities. Diana Martinez was born to them on April 17, 1993. In 1996 they were blessed with their first son David Martinez, and he started his first business as a restaurant owner. Between 2006 and 2007 they welcomed two more beautiful children, Carlos and Evelyn Martinez. Julio then decided to change his business direction and opened Hood and More LTD as a family business to later pass on to his children.
Julio was a very hardworking, strong, caring, and humble man. He was always able to light up a room with his smile. He enjoyed music but nothing to him was better than being surrounded by his family. His family and his humble upbringing motivated him to go above and beyond to provide for them. Julio will be deeply missed by his family, friends and everyone who had the opportunity to meet him.
His funeral service will be from 2-5pm on Tuesday August 25th, 2020 at Southern Cremations and Funerals located at 1861 Dallas Hwy Marietta, GA 30064.

En 1996 fueron bendecidos con su primer hijo David Martínez, y comenzó su primer negocio como propietario de un restaurante. Entre 2006 y 2007 dieron la bienvenida a dos hermosos ninos, Carlos y Evelyn Martínez. Julio entonces decidió cambiar su dirección de negocio y abrió Hood y More LTD como una empresa familiar para luego pasarla a sus hijos.
Julio era un hombre muy trabajador, fuerte, cariñoso y humilde. Siempre fue capaz de iluminar una habitación con su sonrisa. Le gustaba la música, pero nada para él era mejor que estar rodeado de su familia. Su familia y su humilde educación lo motivaron a ir más allá para proveerlos. Julio será profundamente extranado por su familia, amigos y todos los que tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerlo.
Su servicio funerario será de 2 a 5pm el martes 25 de agosto de 2020 en Southern Cremations and Funerals ubicado en 1861 Dallas Hwy Marietta, GA 30064.
