Kathyleen Fann Ansah

Apostle Kathyleen Fann-Ansah was born November 23, 1953 in Birmingham, Alabama to Roosevelt and Itherine Copeland (Chaney). She was the second of seven children born to this union. She was married to Pastor John Ansah. Kathyleen was educated in the Birmingham Public School System and graduated from C.W. Hayes High in 1972. She continued her education and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Masters of Arts in Education. Kathyleen was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. For several years, she played the piano for Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Choir. She worked for South Central Bell in Birmingham and then later retired with BellSouth after moving to Atlanta Georgia in the late 1980’s. She was currently employed with the Dekalb County School System at Columbia High School where she taught special needs children. Apostle Kathyleen Fann loved the Lord, her family, and church family. Her spirit was one of giving and service to others. She touched many lives as she traveled abroad several years Preaching Salvation and Deliverance to others. She loved people and helping those in need. She was the Pastor and Founder of New Walk in Christ International Ministries until her death. On Sunday, April 21, 2019, God called her home to rest from her earthly journey. Kathyleen was a Saved Woman of God, Baptized in Water in Jesus and Filled with the Precious Gift of the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:38. Her fight yielded her earthly rewards and her faith reaped her a spiritual reward. Kathyleen was preceded in death by her father, Roosevelt Copeland Sr. and brother, Roosevelt Copeland Jr. She is survived by her husband, Pastor John Ansah; mother, Itherine Chaney; son, Howard Tigner Jr.; daughter, Felicia Turner (Charles); four sisters, Gloria Copeland, Christine Copeland, Itherine Bryant (Don), Karen Giles (Michael); brother, Anthony Copeland (Cassandra); granddaughters, T’ora Tigner, Coren Turner, Carlie Turner, and Teheria Tigner Kathyleen also leaves to cherish her memories a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, church family, and special friends.
