On Monday, July 6, 2020, Kwame William Maybank, loving son and friend gained his heavenly wings at the tender age 31.
Kwame was born March 29, 1989 in Georgetown, SC to Wanda Maybank and Lewis Brown Sr. He was reared in Charleston SC by his loving grandparents, Ervetta, Cyrus and other family members. He attended James Island High.
In 2005 Wanda and Kwame relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where he attended North Druid Hills High School and later received his diploma in 2007. Kwame went on to attend Clark Atlanta University where he studied law and later realized making others feel good about themselves was truly his passion which led him to Empire Cosmetology School.
Kwame loved helping others and laughing at the funny parts of life. He was gentle yet strong man. He never met a stranger and had many friends. He was also an avid music lover. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He loved his family and will be missed.
Kwame was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Brown Sr. He is survived by his mother Wanda Maybank, sister Amanda Wilson and brother Lewis Brown Jr. of Dayton, O.H. grandparents Ervetta and Cyrus Murphy of Charleston S.C. and Mr. Henry and Rosa Brown of Dayton Ohio. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.







“Kwame Maybank” my grandson will remain in our hearts forever. I will always love you.
We had recently Met and this truly breaks my heart . When we Met he said ” I like her she’s funny” little did he know the feeling was mutual . This breaks my heart to learn this , May this beautiful soul rest in Peace.
I’m proud I had the Honor of meeting this beautiful soul.To say he touched my heart would be an an Understatement . May he remain in our hearts
