Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Lam (Jimmy) Gia Huynh, age 63, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 02, 2019, at Gwinnett Medical Hospital in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He was born June 08, 1956, in Vietnam. He came to the United States in 1972 and lived with his grandmother. He went to college in Tennessee and pursued a degree in Engineering. Also, he proudly served this country by joining the Vietnam War.
In 2001, Jimmy met Sarah and got married in 2002. Shortly after they had their children John and Joel. During their marriage, Jimmy and Sarah enjoyed traveling with their sons, cooked, and watch movies. On his free time, he went to the mall, movies, and loved short road trips. He especially enjoyed spending time with his wife Sarah watching movies together or delighting in leisure conversions.
Additionally, Jimmy was a member of the First Baptist Atlanta (FBA) for several years. He enjoyed his time at church in Bible Studies and fellowshipping with other church members. His favorite scriptures were:
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
In summary, Jimmy truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, karate, and cooking Thanksgiving Feast for his loved ones. Jimmy had a humble attitude. He was a warm, sincere, and was a loving person. He was always smiling!
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; his sons, John and Joel; and many families, friends both in the United States and Vietnam and others whose lives Jimmy touched.
