Obituary for Leo Scott Loflin (Rabbit)

Today we say goodbye to our beloved son, brother, and friend, Leo Scott Loflin, affectionately known to everyone as “Rabbit.” Leo passed away on June 23, 2026, at the age of 34, in Henry County, Georgia.

Born in Stockbridge, Georgia, on December 14, 1991, to James and Debbie Loflin, Leo was a young man with an old soul who loved to wander. He spread his genuine, caring soul everywhere he went, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. Home was simply wherever his friends and family were, and he loved adding new people to that list.  With a map of the world in his eyes and kindness in his heart, Leo would sit and talk with anyone just to know their story. He possessed a rare gift: he would always truly listen instead of just waiting for his turn to speak, making everyone he could feel wanted and loved.

Leo possessed a unique artistic vision and was most at home behind his camera lens, beautifully capturing moments in time and preserving memories for the people he loved. He is deeply loved and will be forever missed.

Leo was predeceased by his grandparents, Bob and Bonnie Davis, and Buddy Dunbar; his aunt, Kim Reeves; and his cousin, Darceil Reeves. He was also reunited with his beloved Corgi family: Gizmo, Mr. T, Miss T, Ein, and Bear.

He is survived by his parents, James and Debbie Loflin; his brothers, Josh Hardy and Turner Loflin; his grandparents, Cornelia and Dexter Farmer, and Jim and Annette Loflin; his aunts and uncles, Deborah and Mike Haynie, Sparks Lunceford, Charles Loflin, and Lang Reeves; and his cousins, Mary Lunceford, Rebecca Kolb, Autumn Hewitt, James Lunceford, Jennifer Lunceford, and Esther Reeves. Extended Family, Alhric Yarbrough, Angel Cabasag, Ceres Frost, Alex Cabasag, Ronnie Chapman Robert Rice, Laurabelle Wallace, Reagan and Brian Stickney, Kimani Brooks, Neal Dickens, Nicole Yarbrough, Harley Day.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. You always had a great spirit when we hung out when we were younger. I wish I could go back to those days living life to the fullest. I’m glad you’re in a better place and not here suffering. You will be greatly missed many! We love you Leo!

  2. Leo,
I’ll miss your smile, your laughter, and the way you made even the simplest moments feel special.

Some of my favorite memories will always be our thrift store adventures, never knowing what treasures we’d find, our lazy brunches filled with good food and even better conversations, dancing and laughing together at festivals, and the peaceful afternoons we spent sitting by the river, just enjoying each other’s company. Those moments may seem ordinary to others, but to me they were priceless.

Life isn’t the same without you here. I miss hearing your voice, making new memories, and sharing the little things that only you would understand. But I carry you with me in every thrift shop I visit, every brunch I enjoy, every festival I attend, and every time I sit by the river. Those places remind me that love doesn’t end when someone leaves this world—it lives on in the memories they gave us.

Thank you for loving me, for making me laugh, and for filling my life with beautiful moments I’ll cherish forever. Until we meet again, know that you are deeply missed, endlessly loved, and never forgotten.

    Forever in my heart,
    Always
    Suvonia

I stand grateful that Rabbit was a staunch brother and compassionate friend to my children. I loved hearing his laughter and seeing his smiling face on the times he accompanied them here. His kindness came with the nicest hugs, and the joy he held for life’s many adventures shone as brightly as the love he held for his friends. This wonderful young man will be deeply and forever missed.
