Liliane Louise Phillips

Liliane Louise Phillips was born on December 4th 1926 in the French province of Oran Algeria to Maria and Mimoun Klifa, she migrated to Augusta, Ga in 1949 and married Wallace Henry Phillips in 1950 and becoming a US citizen in the early 70’s. Liliane passed in a restful state at home in Kennesaw, GA where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law for the past 30 years. She was the last surviving sibling of 6 brothers and sisters. Liliane was a dress maker and could design or create dresses for the clientele at Cullums in Augusta, GA and later at Davidson's until she “retired” then at home for a select clientele. She continued to create and sew until the passing of her husband Wallace of 50 years. She loved music with a good beat and danced to the Big Band music, she started to attend the senior’s weekly dances where the Big Band songs were played and danced the night away. She loved to laugh, enjoyed the dances and sleep late in the mornings. Cruises to the islands were a special time and experience, then Alaska and several trips back to Europe to see family. Wallace and Liliane (Meme) had three children; Richard and Daniel who live in Augusta, GA and Marian lives in Kennesaw, GA. Seven grandchildren living in Georgia, North Carolina and Florida and naturally great grandchildren.
