Linda Elaine Diamond

On December 5, 2020, The Lord called His Precious gem, Linda Elaine Diamond, to come rest in His Crown. Linda was born to the late Linden Clark and Bertha Mae Matthews on February 8, 1951. She grew up in Fairburn, Georgia and eventually moved to East Point/Southwest Atlanta to work and live. She had two biological daughters but served as a mother to many more. She received Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1978 at St. Paul Church of God in Christ (575 Grant Street SW) and served Him faithfully even in her final moments. She retired from The Fulton County Board of Education. Linda was a community leader and helped everyone she could. She was actively involved in her church and touched the lives of so many people. Her friends could always count on her and family looked to her for guidance and support. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Linden Clark and Bertha Mae Matthews, her brothers and sister Johnny Matthews, Charlie Matthews, Pearl Mitchell, and Carl Simpson and her husband Trance Diamond. She leaves to cherish her legacy of love and service: Four brothers and one sister: Edna Matthews, Raymond Matthews, Michael Matthews, Dwight Matthews, and Rodney Matthews; Two daughters, Renitta Matthews and Theresa Ellis (Corey Rhodes): Four Grandchildren: Christian Ellis, Shelonda Johnson, Skyler Morgan, and Tiffany Ellis; Two Great-Grandchildren: Jacob Ellis and Samiah McKesson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends
