Lorraine Carolyn Lambert

November 12, 1928 ~ January 15, 2019

Lorraine Carolyn Lambert of Easton, PA, passed away on January 15, 2019 in Woodstock, GA at ninety years old. Memorial services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Marietta, GA on February 02, 2019. Visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by the Memorial service at 11:00am. Lorraine was born in Easton, PA to Arthur and Dorothy Kiefer on November 12, 1928. She was married on May 1, 1949 to Walter Engelken in Patterson, NJ and had her first child, Lorie Ellen. After six years of marriage, Walt passed on March 20, 1955. Several years later she met Robert (Bob) Emmett Lambert and they were married on October 26, 1957 in Patterson, NJ. Lorraine and Bob had two children Thomas Robert and Timothy Emmet. In 1966 they moved south from Ridgewood, NJ to Greensboro, NC and then to Marietta, GA in 1971, where they would stay. After almost 29 years of marriage, Bob passed on August 9, 1986. Lorraine had several jobs during her life, but her most rewarding was taking care of children. She worked for several families over the years and considered them her family as well. With such love for children, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were especially loved and a very important part of her life. She will always be in their hearts. When Lorraine and her family move to Marietta, GA they found Faith Lutheran Church and became members. Lorraine loved her Faith Lutheran family and participated in the LWML, OWLS, and bible study groups. She enjoyed her time with Pastor Schneider and Hope the comfort dog when they came and visited her at Benton House. Her faith was strong and gave her great comfort. Several years ago Lorraine was diagnosed with Dementia. She continued living in her home in Marietta with help from family, friends, neighbors, and home health professionals until it came time that she required more help than that provided. In December 2017 she moved into Benton House of Woodstock. Although there was a period of adjustment, Benton House was a wonderful place for her. We cannot say enough about the wonderful staff at Benton House. During her time there the staff and other residents became like family to her and our family. She enjoyed doing crafts, sitting out in the beautiful courtyard on warm days, and especially loved all the musical entertainment. She was always singing and dancing. Lorraine Lambert is preceded in death by Walter Engelken (husband), Robert Emmett Lambert (husband), and Lorie Ellen Wagoner (daughter), Kenneth Kiefer (brother), Arthur Kiefer, Jr. (brother). Lorraine Lambert is survived by her children Thomas Robert Lambert (Deborah Leigh Lambert), and Timothy Emmet Lambert (Lori Ann Lambert): Sister Ethel DeFelice: Grandchildren Robert Eugene Wagoner (Jean Louise Wagoner), Christopher Kyle Lambert, Brennan Emmett Lambert, and Amanda Marie Lambert: Great-grandchildren Benjamin James Wagoner and Samuel Michael Wagoner. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Faith Lutheran Church and School in Marietta, GA.
