Manuel (Manny) Tsuhlares

February 1, 1946 ~ December 11, 2020

In Loving Memory of Manuel (Manny) Tsuhlares 1946-2020 Manuel (Manny) Tsuhlares, 74, of Marietta, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 11, 2020 due to complications of Covid-19. Manny was born February 1, 1946 in Wheeling, West Virginia. Manny spent the past 30 years in Georgia after living in West Virginia, Texas, and New Jersey. He enjoyed golfing, grilling, time at the beach, playing with his grandchildren and most of all spending time with his family. He was a member at Hillside United Methodist Church. Manny is preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda Tsuhlares, who passed away earlier this year and his son Jason Tsuhlares. His mother Helen Tsuhlares Taggart and father Stephen Tsuhlares. He is survived by his son Matthew Tsuhlares and wife Kelly of North Carolina; daughter Michelle Tsuhlares Goodrum and husband Shayne of Texas; daughter Meredith Tsuhlares Combs and husband Jared of Georgia. Also survived by his precious grandchildren, Stephen Thrailkills, Shelby Tsuhlares & her mother Melissa, Clayton Tsuhlares, Maggie Tsuhlares, Nicholas Manuel Goodrum, Peyton Combs, Brody Combs, Avery & Aiden Tsuhlares and Great Grandchild Kinley Lopez. Brother Lambros Tsuhlares of West Virginia, sister Goldie (Sue) Klein of California, sister Annette McCormack of California, cousin Nickie Sfamenos of Georgia and brother & sister-in-law John & Dana McReynolds. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his favorite Greek relatives Stella Sfamenos & Goldie Basil. Manny grew up with a large loving family always around, it shaped the man he became. Manny will be remembered for his quick wit, endless supply of “words of wisdom,” infectious smile, gift of storytelling and his generous heart. If you asked a hundred people about Manny, they would all have a great story to tell. He was a coach, a mentor, a storyteller, and a super-hero. He was a “big brother,” a “best friend,” and a “Pa Pou.” Anyone who stepped foot in the house was “family” to Manny and he would do anything for any of us. His purpose in life was making memories with his family and friends. He was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. He was our hero and he will be greatly missed. As a result of the current Covid-19 situation, we are planning a Celebration of Manny’s life during the Summer of 2021. Manny was steadfast in his belief that no one should be put in harm’s way to come to a service on his behalf. We will announce the exact date at a later time.
