Margaret (Balos) Roderick, age 71, passed peacefully in her sleep on December 30, 2020, in Hiram, GA, following a brief battle with cancer.
She is survived by her brother Lee Balos and his wife Michele (Hayes) Balos of Hiram, GA, as well as many cousins.
Margaret was born on December 20, 1949 in Boston, MA, to parents Nicholas G Balos and Maria (Karkanedes) Balos of Lynn, MA. She received a degree in psychology from American International College, Springfield MA, and a degree in nursing from North Shore Community College, Beverly, MA. She was employed at Beverly Hospital and later as a hospice nurse during her nursing career.
She was a caring individual who was much loved by her family and many lifelong friends. She enjoyed living for many years on Central St, Beverly, within walking distance of the beach. She was a beach person!
Her remains are to be cremated and her ashes to be cast on her beloved ocean.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society.

Meeting you was such a blessing to myself as well as to my children. You where an amazing woman I’m blessed to have called you my friend. We loved watching the voice together and sharing walnut cranberry chicken salad sandwiches with chips as we got ready every week for the voice .you have earned your wings my friend. Margaret and I would mail eachother tea throughout the pandemic as a way of having high noon tea together
