Marion Maxwell Daniel (Max) 81, of Marietta, died Thursday, July 21, 2016. Max was born in Damascus, Ga. on August 24, 1934. He graduated from Albany High School in 1952. Afterwards, he served in the U.S Navy in the Korean War where he earned several medals. He graduated from Southern Tech with an Electrical Engineering degree. He began his career with Western Union and worked in Spain where he met his future wife, Maria Luisa "Vicky" Fedriani of Sevilla, Spain.
Max was a dedicated father, husband and member of the Albany community. He shared his passion for sports with his children and grandchildren. His family resided in Albany for more than 30 years. He was preceded in death by his loving spouse Vicky in 2004. Survivors include a sister, Polly Barr of Gainesville, FL; two daughters Diana D. Webb of Kennesaw, and Cynthia M. Daniel of Dunwoody, GA; three sons, Edward J. Daniel of Roswell, John L. Daniel of Atlanta, and Anthony B. Daniel of Atlanta, Ga.: and seven grandchildren.
The Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 25th at Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill. in the Columbarium Chapel. Committal services will be held at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs with Military rites.
