Passed away peacefully at home on May 6, 2020. She was born in Stilesboro, Ga on October 9, 1937. Mary Alice grew up in Bartow County and graduated from Cartersville High School, class of 1955. She attended Georgia Teachers College, now known as Georgia Southern University. She began her teaching career at East Valley Elementary in Cobb County and retired from teaching in the late 90’s from the Paulding County school system. She was an active member of the Marietta Garden Club and former member of the Marietta Symphony Guild. She was an avid bridge player and loved to travel. She will be missed by many friends and is survived by daughters, Kim Meadows (Robert), Stacy McCallum (Troy) and her beloved granddaughter, Julia McCallum. Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mary Alice and I taught at Dallas Elementary together. She was such a good teacher and a joy to work with. I have wonderful memories. I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers and love are with you.
