Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Mary Helen Finley, born August 25, 1962 in Auburn, Alabama crossed over on November 30, 2020.
Mary was carried a humble "Let's get it done" mentality. Which began by being a big Mama's helper, ready to go and do whatever was asked of her.
This mentality turned into the spirit of an entrepreneur that would go on to create her dream of providing for her children and building a legacy for the family to follow...She was a fighter from her youth to the day God called her home! A BEAUTIFUL soul!
She was Predeceased by her mother, Virginia Boyd, her father, John Finley, and sister Christine “Chris” Frazier.
Lovingly remembered by her children: Shambrina (Eli) Gavin, Faydra Gray, James “Dimond” (Destoni) Love, and Christine Manuel; her grandchildren Taurean, T’Ariqa, T.J., and Kristopher; her sisters Ann (Brinson) Poythress, Frances Finley, and Prella Finley; her brothers Alphonzo (Valerie) Finley, John Finley, and Alvin (Sheree) Finley; her nieces and nephews Katina Finley, Brinson (Nepefteria) Poythress III, Abraham (Deena) Poythress, Jeffery “Tycelle” (Fashonda) Frazier Jr., Tay (Amirette) Finley, Dadrell Finley, Zay Frazier, Ayan Bennett, and Tytiana Jones.
Mary’s Homegoing Service will be held at Southern Cremations Funerals – 1861 Dallas Highway, Marietta, GA 30064 on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 10 A.M. – 1 P.M.
There will be masks provided and COVID spaced seating with a maximum capacity of 50 people, so we ask that close family and friends arrive early although there will be seats saved.
With this being a celebration of life, for the dress code, we are asking that everyone dress in color to express the brightness that God placed in her.
We are looking to make this a simple, yet powerful service filled with shared experiences and memories of Mary, so please come prepared to share a memory, story, or even a lesson she may have left with you.
