I first met Melba when I went to work for Dr. Sid Williams at Life Chiropractic College in 1977. Melba worked for Dr. Sid at SiNel, his publishing company. We had to coordinate his schedules so we frequently talked to each other. Melba was funny, did not take any static from anyone. She became a close personal friend. and I miss her every day!
I met Melba about 10 years ago through DE. She became a very important part of my life and my son’s life. We had a lot of plans for what we would do together when she finally retired. I’m sorry we won’t be able to share the future. When I was able to attend the DE meetings we ate our meals together.
At least once each weekend we went to Ruth Chris for crab cakes. I don’t think either one of us ever had steak. I’m going to miss her terribly but I know she’s at peace and in a better place. I live by Myrtle Beach so I can’t be at the memorial service. But know that my heart is there and I am praying for her and all of you. Diane Adams
Paula, I was a high school classmate of Melba and Ronnie, and we were in band together. Melba was always friendly, happy, and full of fun. I have wonderful memories from that time. Long illnesses take a toll on the individual and the family. Condolences and prayers for you and her grandchildren, niece, and nephew. Rest In Peace, Melba. Your job on earth is done, and you have earned your reward. You and Ronnie were close. Now you can be together again.
