Dear Dad, I did not have a chance to say good bye! Tonight when I say my final goodbye it will be unlike any other from days gone bye. This is the start of a new conversation, just you and I. While our paths have been separated over the years due to distance, you were always there & Our new journey will bring you closer than you have ever been. Remembering you will be easy and our times together have brought many memories that fill my heart with joy It is the heartache of missing you, not hearing your voice, your laugh that will make my heart mourn and cry. I cannot explain my feelings right now. I feel a huge void and struggle but hope that your spirit will help me heal over time You are part of a solid foundation of all that I am. I thank you for being you. A good man, father, son, brother, uncle and friend and even though you and mom found your own paths you both were always there for me. So, as I lay my head down tonight and say goodbye, I will wake tomorrow and know that my life long guardian angel will now forever walk by my side! Good night Dad!
