Mr. Matthew Charles Mislo

July 14, 1992 ~ April 4, 2015

Matthew Charles Mislo – My Hero Tuesday, July 14, 1992 to Saturday, April 4, 2015 Today family and friends celebrate the life of Matthew Charles Mislo, born in Raleigh, North Carolina, and prematurely taken from us in Smyrna, Georgia at the age of 22 years. Matthew left this world before he had a chance to blossom into his full potential. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile, incredible eyebrows and absolute willingness to help others in need without asking for anything in return. Having graduated from Walton High School, Matthew attended two years at Kennesaw State University majoring in Psychology. His most recent employer was the Country Inn and Suites in Smyrna, GA. Matthew was passionate about soccer and played throughout his young adult life. He was able to mature his talent enough to play on a Select soccer team his last couple of years and enjoyed this immensely. Matthew also had a passion for music and played the guitar whenever he had spare time. He also played the tuba in middle school. He loved to sing, especially in the shower. X-Box was his favorite past- time, and he spent many hours playing with his friends. 90's music was his favorite. When you think of Matthew, remember him for his love of life and willingness to help others in need at the drop of a hat. Celebrate Matthew in your memories and do not mourn him. Even though his life in this world was short, he accomplished a lot of astounding things and left a profound legacy on everyone's life he touched. Matthew is survived by his mother Becky, father Charles, sister Melanie, grandmother Lois Selzer and many, many, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by countless friends, his roommate Kyle and his gym buddy Devin. Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents Marie and Charles Mislo, his grandfather Merle Selzer and his cousins Kellie Doyle and Gina Hankins. Matthew, you will be missed more than words can describe. We all love you dearly and will see you again someday. In the mean time please watch over us from your new vantage point where pain and suffering do not exist, help take care of Mom and Melanie and work hard to keep our seats warm in heaven for when we meet again.

We will always remember Matt and we celebrate with you, the wonderful, kind and gentle person that graced our lives. Take care on your journey, Matt.’
