Mrs. Mary Kramer Graham

September 26, 1920 ~ February 7, 2014

Mary Kramer Graham, with hospice's supportive help and her loving daughters' care, died peacefully at home in Freehome, Ga. on 7 February 2014. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and business manager of her husband Harry's homebuilding company, Graham Construction of Coral Gables, Florida. While living in the Gables, she was active in club work and was past president of the Junior Women's Club. Kramer was born September 26, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA., the daughter of Theresa Heffner and Edward Hartley Neely. She was the eldest of three siblings. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Mergard Neely. Her younger brother, Edward Heffner Neely, resides in St. Augustine, Fl. with his wife, Yvette. Upon retirement, Kramer and Harry moved to Crescent Beach in St. Augustine, Fl. where she was an active board member of the St. Augustine Friends of the Library and an avid bridge player. Kramer loved entertaining their many friends at their home while Harry serenaded all on the piano or organ. They had a full and happy 63 years together. As a lifelong genealogist, Kramer worked every winter at the Mormon Library in Salt Lake City while Harry skied. Her efforts left an extensive family tree and her research contributed to a published work. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Carol Jean Fryer of Jacksonville, FL and Donna Lee Harmony of Canton, Ga. Her son-in-law, Maj. Gen. (Ret.) John Clifford Fryer, Jr. was like the son she didn't have. Her two grand children, John C. Fryer, III of Lenexa, KS and Winston-Salem, NC, (Lori Ann Shepard Fryer) and James Edward Fryer of Southlake, TX (Maria Dolores Jimenez Sanchez-Canete Fryer) were very close to their grandmother. She was blessed with four delightful great-grand children: Holly Ann Fryer, Jack Graham Fryer, David Edward Fryer Jimenez and Miguel Antonio Fryer Jimenez. Family celebrations of life will be held in St. Augustine and in Freehome at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
