Olan Samuel Smelcer

Mr. Olan Samuel Smelcer, 77, of Sevierville, TN passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010. He is the son of the late David Smelcer and Nellie Smelcer. He is preceded in death by his wife: Mary Evelyn Smelcer; brother: Eugene Smelcer; and sister: Edith Hicks. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving children: Donna Gaye Finley (Lani), Michael Olan Smelcer and Steven Roy Smelcer (Christy); brother: Edward Smelcer; sisters: Odessa Hall and Imogene Shultz; grandchildren: Joshua Finley, Chase Smelcer and Blake Smelcer with many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Holly Hill Funeral Home, 431 SW Broad St. Fairburn, GA 30213 770-964-7833. Services honoring Mr. Smelcer will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 2:00pm with Rev. Norman Smelcer officiating. Interment will follow the service at Sharon Memorial Gardens Cemetery Rd. Tyrone, GA 30290.
