Patricia Ann Ingram

August 12, 1949 ~ August 1, 2026

Patricia Ann Ingram passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, at the age of 76, entering eternal rest with her Lord. Born on August 12, 1949, in Lee County, Alabama, Patricia was a beloved child of Margie Louise Dowdell and Hugh Ellis.

She was preceded in death by both parents; her favorite person, Gladys Price (grandmother); her devoted husband, Cleve Ingram III; her grandson, Khash Jones; and her eldest son, Edward Dowdell.

Patricia’s memory lives on through her children: Cleven Ingram (Naomi), Sheila Ingram-Beale (Tony), Michelle Ingram-Jones (Joe), and Gamelba, widow of Edward Dowdell.

She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to many, including her newest granddaughter, Malaya Imani Irons, who was three months old and gave her renewed purpose, many smiles, and peace while battling a recent illness. Patricia shared a special bond with her siblings, in-laws, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, caregiver, and many special friends whom she called her sisters during her years in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

A high school graduate who completed some college coursework, Patricia worked as a stewardess and enjoyed housekeeping on the Virginia Beach oceanfront, although she did not have to work. She was a military wife and a stay-at-home mother to her four children. She had the opportunity to travel and reside in some of the most beautiful places in the United States. Patricia was the life of every party and could light up any room. She also did not mind blessing you with a few words when you got out of line. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to “Miss Pat,” whose beautiful spirit is deeply cherished by all.
