In Loving Memory of Paul Sandefur, II

Paul Sandefur, II., age 53, passed away on July 26, 2026.

Paul grew up on a farm in Dellroy, Ohio. At 17 years old, he joined the United States Air Force in 1990. Between active duty and the National Guard, he proudly served his country for 21 years. During his military service, Paul was deployed around the world, carrying out his duties in many important missions, including Operation Desert Storm, Operation Desert Shield, Operation Allied Force, Noble Anvil, Joint Forge, and twice in Operation Freedom Sentinel.

In 1994, Paul married Alyssa, and together they raised two amazing children. He was a devoted husband, father, son, provider, and friend who cherished his family above all else.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Alyssa Sandefur; his children, Lillie and Cooper; his mother, Linda; his brothers, David Sandefur and Doug Sandefur; his sister, Wendy; along with his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and many friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Paul was a gentle soul who was sometimes a man of few words, but he took everything that everyone said to him to heart. He is going to be missed to the very depths of our souls, but he will never be forgotten. We may not have got to spend our whole lives with him, but he has got to spend his whole life with us.

While his smile did not light up a room (inside family joke), he truly never met a stranger. His kindness, quiet nature, and genuine heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association in memory and honor of Paul.
