Paul Nkwelle Metuge was born in Limbe Cameroon on February 1st 1979 to Late Nicholas Metuge and Agnes Wase Metuge. During his formative years, he attended PNEU Limbe before moving to St Anthony Primary school Buea Road where he graduated in 1990. After graduation, he began his secondary education at St Joseph’s college Sasse where he obtained his Ordinary Level in 1995. He proceeded to St Francis for high school where he obtained his Advanced Level in 1997. In 1999, he relocated to the United States to seek better opportunities like many of his peers. His passion has always been for people; a drive which took him into the healthcare field. He decided to pursue Respiratory Therapy where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree at the Medical College of Georgia in 2007. After graduation, he was hired by MCG as Staff therapist and a clinical Instructor. He left that position and joined Doctors Hospital in 2015, a position he held until his untimely passing at Doctors Hospital in Augusta Georgia on July 26th 2019 at the age of 40. He was also an avid sports guy and was a soccer coach/ mentor to many youths in Augusta. Many who knew him speak highly of his joking persona and his strong advocacy for the disadvantaged. Paul will be greatly missed by his family, his Fiancée, friends, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
