Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Peter Jacob Flatsoussis, born and raised in Smyrna, returned to his Heavenly Father on September 14, 2019 at the age of 38. Peter was born on September 25, 1980 to parents Jerry Flatsoussis and Debbie Shelby McDaniel.
A passionate man about many things, Peter was most dedicated to and proud of his two sons: Joseph (Joey) and Vincent (Vinny) Flatsoussis. He will be missed by his sister, Jennifer, niece, Shelby, nephew, Matthew and many other family and friends.
A Honda/Acura mechanic for twenty years, trained by his father, Peter excelled in integrity, organization and professional courtesy. Peter was known as a wild child, always joking and loved making people laugh. Peter treasured his life long friends and would often help them with their car problems. He never accepted payment and always looked out for his friends, loyal to the end.
He was particularly devoted to his mother, claiming loyalty to her, along with his sons, before all others. He felt it was his responsibility to take good care of her and was always there when needed. Peter touched so many lives and will be missed tremendously.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of our friend Peter “Pete” Flatsoussis. Pete was a gentleman and as fine an automotive technician as you’ll ever find. He helped maintain our family’s fleet of Honda vehicles for many years. Our prayers for Megan, and their sons, his Mom, Jerry and Sam and their families will continue. Our deepest condolences. Robert, Alecia and Austin Smith. Powder Springs GA.
My sincerest condolences to Pete’s family. I’ve known Pete for about 20 years. I met Pete through his father’s auto-mechanic shop. Pete and I talked a lot about much. He and Jerry have been like family to me for most of my adult life. My heart just breaks for you. Pete loved his boys so much and always shared pictures of Joey and Vinny when I came to the shop. I’ve seen many of the milestones, birthdays, videos and the like. He will be missed and my thoughts and prayers are with his family and his beautiful boys. All my love. ~Felicia
Jerry/Sam – My sincerest condolences to your family. I have always been forever fond of you – you were awesome neighbors for many years! I’m praying for peace and serenity for you and your family. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. Love, Zalika
Peter was a sweet, humorous student in my 4th grade class many years ago at Belmont Hills Elementary. I am heartbroken by his passing.
