Prentice Charles Miller

For more than fifteen years Prentice valiantly battled illness and triumphed over pain and harsh work conditions to take care of his family, reach out and reach down to those in need, and at the same time pushed through intense workouts. As his illness progressed he had every reason to say “no.” Yet, to Prentice, pain was the staircase to higher promise and realization of your best self. It’s the credo of an athlete. It’s the principle of a Marine. He packed everything he could into a scant sixty years. He climbed that staircase one last time on Tuesday, August 18th. At that top stair, there was no more pain. He now rests safely and peacefully in the arms of God.
