Rebecca M. Turner

Rebecca M. Turner, age 70, of Union City, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026. She was born on December 9, 1955, in Atlanta, Georgia, and spent her life devoted to her family, her work, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Rebecca was a loving and devoted wife, mother, an extraordinary grandmother, and a loyal friend. Her kindness, compassion, and generous heart touched countless lives. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, and she was truly loved by all who knew her.

For more than 25 years, Rebecca faithfully worked in the laundry department at PruittHealth, where she became known for her strong work ethic, warm smile, and caring spirit. She took great pride in her work and formed many lasting friendships throughout her career.

Above all else, Rebecca cherished her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer J. Turner Jr. She is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca Ann Turner, Tracy Turner-Kelley, son in law Blake Kelley, her six beloved grandchildren, Cieria Chambers, Andrew Chambers, Mackenzie Chambers, Jordan Davis, Logan Turner, and Blakelynn Kelley, who brought endless joy and pride to her life.

She is also survived by her three sisters, Mary Cosper, Betty Ann Harmon, and Martha McGarity, brother Timothy McGarity, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory. She is preceded in death by her mother Marion Powell, and father Willie McGarity and two brothers Lee and James McGarity.

Rebecca’s legacy is one of unconditional love, strength, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her love, guidance, and beautiful spirit will remain with us always. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
