My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family ! I know the love you both shared was and will remain in your heart ♥️
Rex Dorian Howton, age 77, passed away at home peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on 04/24/26.
Born on 12/02/48 in Birmingham, Alabama to H.G. and Edith Howton.
He is survived by his wife Brenda and children Stacy, Amanda, Amy (Jeremy), and Allan (Natalia). Along with Grandchildren Katie (Diego), Leila (Conner), Caleb, Camila, and Lily.
The woman who held his heart was his wife, Brenda. Their devotion to each other over the years was inspirational, especially to those who watched how they interacted and how much she loved and cared for him during his illness. The love of family reached out to include employees and associates of his company Dixie Exterminators, Inc. He was always up for another adventure, but his favorite pastime by far was creating and making memories with his family.
Rex enjoyed Building and Driving Race Cars, Model Trains, Reading, Walt Whitman Poetry, Food, Traveling, Movies, Music and of course the University of Alabama Football. Rex was a known perfectionist with a keen eye for art and design. He loved sports and played several including Semi-Pro Baseball, Alta & USTA Tennis, running. He was also a licensed pilot. In short, if it was fast and had an engine, Rex loved it!
