Richard Lee Wilson, 48, of Union City, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife: Annie Wilson; Children: Jennifer Poppell and Jason Jene Wilson; grandchildren: Natalie Poppell, Hunter Poppell, Cheyanne Herrick, Courtney Herrick, Savannah Herrick; mother: Christine (Byron) Barahona; father: Mike Richard Wilson; sisters: Linda Wilson Hilley, Laura Diane Bointon; brother: Mike Woodrow Wilson. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 9, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Holly Hill Funeral Home, 431 SW Broad Street, Fairburn, GA 30213. Services honoring Mr. Wilson will be Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Buddy Waldron officiating. Interment will be at Holly Hill Memorial Park. ‘ RICK ‘ RICK WAS MY YOUNGEST CHILD, AND MY MOST OBEDIENT. I NEVER HAD TO TELL HIM TWICE. HE WAS VERY LOVING, AND WE LOVED HIM. I CAN STILL SEE HIM IN THE KITCHEN MAKING A CASSEROL OF SOME KIND. HE WAS A CHEF AT HEART AND HE SHOULD HAVE FOLLOWED HIS DREAM OF BECOMING ONE. GOD TAKES THE GOOD AND LEAVES THE BAD TO SUFFER HERE ON EARTH. THANK YOU GOD FOR THE SHORT TIME HE WAS HERE WITH US.
Missing my baby brotherRicky was my youngest brother and I miss him. I still remember our childhood and carrying him around like he was my baby. I never would have imagined that I could remember the first day I saw him and the last. We never know how much time we have here on this earth and we need to make the best of every day.
