Ricky Lanier Baswell, age 45, of Newnan, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013. He was born in East Point, GA to Lanier Baswell and Charlene Winkles Baswell (Nanny). Mr. Baswell was a machine operator for Kason Industries before retiring for health related reasons. In addition to his parents, Ricky Baswell is survived by his wife, Karen Denise Chappell of Newnan; children Brenna Baswell, Macey Baswell, Kyle Baswell, Anna Lyse Baswell, and Hailee Chappell; Brother, Danny Baswell of Newnan; Sister, Sherry Lee of College Park; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral Services for Ricky Lanier Baswell will be held Monday, April 22, 2013 at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Holly Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 5 o'clock until 8 o'clock. I wish I could be there to pay my respects to my old friend in person. I grew up with Ricky and have some great memories of the entire Baswell Family.
