Robert Lee Kimble was the youngest child born to the late Styles and Irene Kimble. He was born in Waynesboro, Georgia on October 8, 1939. He departed this life on August 7, 2020.
He attended Alfred E. Beach High School in Savannah, Georgia.
He moved to New York in the late 1950s and in 1965 he met his devoted wife, Gladys Marie Shelton who preceded him in death. To this union two sons were born Robert Thomas Kimble and Hasani Abdul Kimble, who preceded him in death.
He was employed by the city of New York. After his retirement, he and his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he owned several barbershops. He attended Salem Baptist Church, World Changers, and South Fulton Community Christian Church.
Robert treasured his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. They recall his favorite saying “listen to your stomach”, which meant to them to follow your inner guidance.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son Robert Thomas Kimble, One brother Aaron “AC”. One sister Elizabeth, 3 grandchildren, Robert III, Rashaad, and Seniya and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
All praises to you God for a caring and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and most of all a believer in God. To God be the Glory.
