Ronnie Wood was born, raised, and spent his life in Marietta, Georgia. He attended Southern Polytechnic State University, built a successful career with Kroger as a District Manager, and lived his life guided by his Christian faith.
He found some of life’s greatest joys in the people and moments he loved most. He could often be found watching a baseball or football game, enjoying his baseball card collection, or, even better, cheering on his grandchildren. Family holidays held a special place in his heart, He also loved being near the water, whether relaxing at the lake or heading to the beach, where he enjoyed the adventure and beauty of deep-sea diving. More than anything, Ronnie treasured the time spent with those he loved.
Ronnie is survived by his son Mathew Wood and daughter, Rebecca Lee, and her husband, John Lee; and his cherished grandchildren, Emery and Minnie Lee. He is also survived by his nephews, Nicholas Walker and his wife, KiKi, and their children, Kalani, Hendrixx, and El’Adee; and Jared Walker and his wife, Victoria, and their children, Romee, Reya, and Jonah. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Robert and Nellie Wood; his brother, Michael Wood; and his sister, Tammy Wood Gilbert and nephew Clinton Gilbert.
We will remember Ronnie’s for his sharp wit, clever sense of humor, and the joy he brought to those around him. He loved his children beyond words and took great pride in his family. Unique in every way, he lived life on his own and left behind memories that will be treasured forever. He was, simply put, one of a kind.
