Russell Edward Cutler

Russell “Russ” “Rusty” Edward Cutler III, age 72, passed peacefully in Marietta Georgia on September 25, 2019. Russell is survived by his loving wife of 51 Years Joan Cutler, of Marietta, GA; his three children; Russell “Ted” Edward Cutler (Melissa) of Acworth, GA; Katie Cutler Cansler (Chris) of Canton, GA; and David Cutler of Marietta, GA; five grandchildren Hailey and Gabriel Cutler; Brittany (Jonathan) Franklin; Anslie and Lindsy Cansler; one great grandson Jon Franklin; one brother, two sisters and many lovely nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Russell Cutler Jr. and Lee (Beardsley) Cutler. Russell was born May 17, 1947 in Detroit Michigan. He attended Cross Keys High School in Atlanta Georgia and Graduated from Olgethorpe University in 1970 with a degree in Political Science. He married his wife Joan August 10, 1968. Together they had 3 beautiful children, 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild. His grandchildren were his greatest accomplishment and his pride and joy. From the time they were all “old enough” he would take them out to movies and lunch. He was also known for his strong love for the game of soccer. He played the game, coached his kids playing the game and was a referee for the game. He was a referee for the high schools and club teams until the age of 70, when he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. He is very loved and he will be greatly missed by all his family and friends!
