Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. In his youth, Ryan was an incredible soccer player as well as an excellent swimmer.Every soccer team he was on, he had to earn and try out for. One team Ryan was on was so good he got to travel all the way to Germany to play and beat global competitors. He was on Premire and Classic teams which had only the best players in both teams. When Ryan was swimming competitively, he often made it to county and state competitions against the best and fastest swimmers in the state. On both his soccer and swim teams, every body knew him by the nickname Spot.He even managed to use his soccer skills to play on varsity level football teams by being one of the best kickers to play the game on the varsity level high school teams

  2. I remember Ryan being blind to color as he treated all of our classmates from different ethnic backgrounds equally. I also remember him breaking the senior high school record in Atlanta as I was also a high jumper on the same Henry Grady High track team. Though we were not in the same crew; I remember his friendship with Marco as he lived Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream. I haven’t seen him since graduation, but my memory of him is one who stands out amongst the crowd. I cheered under Ms. Mcnew’s guidance and know where he inherited his humility. My condolences goes out to his family, friends and our classmates.

  13. McNew, as we called him, was a great friend. He would come and go through life but we would always come back to the way things were. My kids called him Uncle Ryan and he was always their favorite. He had away with people and friends that was second to none. He was like a brother to me. I really miss his humor, witty banter and friendship.

  14. McNew! My goodness this was a hard one to swallow. There was never a time that you were not showing the pearly white teeth and cracking some funny joke about me cheering! Keep a watch over us and we will keep a watch over your mom!

    Until we meet again,
    Utevia

  15. It’s so many memories with my brother I could write a book but, it’s this one moment I will never forget. We had snuck off campus for lunch and it was maybe 6 of us in his car and as we were pulling back up to the school campus we saw Coach Slade and Coach Hill . Well we thought Ryan was going to stop but , of course you know he pulled right off and we all got in trouble. Oh how I miss him so so so much

  16. Every one knows how much LaReese loves her baby boy. Something about that “youngest child”. Ryan has LaReese’s heart. Ryan also loved his mother beyond words. Ryan loved her unconditionally!

Anyone whose ever spent more than 10 minutes with Ryan knows how witty he was. Ryan had a charisma like no other. At the service, I conversed with his friends Joey and Cale. Crazy enough, in both conversations we were able to laugh at a comment I made…. “Ryan was so confident that he borderlined cockiness”!!!

I remember hanging out with him and he made it clear to me that he can pull any chick he wanted. Whenever I got a chance, I always reminded him that he never pulled me! Not that LaReese didn’t try to get us together though….I’m sure you can hear her voice saying this to me “Sarah, since you’re still single, you should go out with Ryan”. I had to remind LaReese that since she’s like my mom, I couldn’t date my brother. And that’s who Ryan is to me…not “was”….Ryan is my brother.

Brother, rest easy knowing that I will continue to take care of our mother just as you did when you were with us. I love you Ryan. I love you LaReese.

  17. Hey Bro I miss you I think about all the good fun times we had together. As we seem stuck together like siamese twins
If you seen one you the other. It hurts really bad knowing your gone but God needed his angle so he called you home . Mom you’re in prayers

  18. McNew was my brother. He was a big part of my life and I miss him dearly. He will always be remembered as the ultimate dog whisperer and a dear loyal friend. I loved him very much. He lives in my heart forever.

  19. To my brother from another mother😊 When hearing your name, a smile quickly comes on face with memories of you hanging in the hallways of Grady, talking junk when others walked by. You were the life of every party, and everybody enjoyed being around you. In your company, everyone was sure to laugh and have a great time. Never seen you any other way which was evident of the blessing on your life. The way you carried yourself, the way you catered to others, and the way you loved your mom, was evidence of the great, nurturing upbringing you experienced. People often give off what they have and it was love & happiness all the time with you. Your presence, laughter, and jokes are truly missed but your spirit will continue to live through us all❤️🕊️

  20. Where do I start Ryan? Your missed beyond measure! You was My protector, my Sagi partner & A True Friend!! I think about all the years I was blessed to witness life with you. Im so grateful! The first time we met 06 at TGI Fridays (Marietta)! The hummers. Our first date at the hibachi resturant and you order the Loveboat for us. The trips to colarado & miami. Our love for dogs, To the nights we laid in bed relaxing talking about life. I miss you so much! You will forever be the Love I lost. Because you understood me and I understood you. May You Forever Rest in Peace.
    Love Always
