Samuel Lee Jones, 55, of Fairburn, GA ( formerly of Leland, MS), transitioned from his earthly life to his eternal home on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Southwest Christian Care in Union City, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents: Hardi Fisher and Ruth Jones-Turner; one (1) brother: Frederick Jones; and one (1) sister: Ernestine McKinney. He leaves to cherish his love and memories: his devoted wife, Joyce Jenkins-Jones of Fairburn, GA; three (3) daughters: Ethel Woods of Greenville, MS, and Sameshia and Hardi Jones, both of Fairburn, GA; one (1) stepson: Malcoum Kent II of Greenville, MS; four (4) brothers: Larry D. Jones and Vernell (JaWanda) Jones, both of Greenville, MS, Thomas E. (Leola) Jones of Memphis, TN, and Elliott D. (Louquise) Jones of Douglasville, GA; four (4) sisters: Verlene Brown of Chicago, IL, Betty Franklin of South Haven, MS, Celestine Moro of Lawrenceville, GA, and Brenda Jones of Memphis, TN; four (4) grandsons: KenDarious Woods, Ravi Elliott, Jr., Malcoum Kent III, and Ethan Kent, all of Greenville; one (1) uncle: Freddy Smith of Chicago, IL; one (1) aunt: Nellie Arrington of Chicago, IL; a special brother-in-law: Calvin Jenkins, Jr. of Riverdale, GA; five (5) special friends: Jerry Thompson, Eugene King, Timothy Barlow, Douglas "Mo-Mo" Smith, and James Graham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Holly Hill Funeral Home located at 431 SW Broad Street, Fairburn, GA. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Fairburn, with Dr. Justin Terrell, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Ono Road, Fairburn, GA.
