San Juanita (Janie) Esquivel Casillas, age 63, passed away peacefully around 11:30 p.m. on March 27, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Janie is predeceased by her parents: Jose Longoria Esquivel and Adelmira Ramirez, her sister Linda Lou Pachecano, and, her brother Jose Esquivel Jr. Of her brothers and sisters, she is survived by: Mary Olga Hernandez, Gloria Gonzales, Diana Bocanegra, Margarita Casillas, Yolanda Aguilar, Raynaldo Esquivel, John Michael Esquivel, Rachiel Contreras, and Cynthia Ann Paez.
Janie is lovingly remembered by her husband Pablo Casillas, and their children Belinda Mayes, Melinda Sands, Manuel Gonzales, Alfred Casillas, and Jennell Martinez. Their grandchildren Lawrence Mayes, Justin Mayes, Mariah Mayes, Stephen Jr. Mayes, Marianna Martinez, Isaac Martinez, Israel Martinez, Xavier Martinez, Jonathan Gonzales, Nathan Gonzales, Madison Gonzales, and Jayden Gonzales.
Janie was born in Lubbock, TX. On September 27, 1954. She lived her formative years in the South Texas plains area of San Antonio TX. Janie met her future husband while still in her teens. She and Pablo relocated with their family to Marietta GA in 1987, where she lived out her remaining years. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to all that knew her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 7, at 2:30 p.m. in the Columbarium, at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park at 1861 Dallas Hwy, Marietta GA. Corner of Dallas Hwy and John Ward Rd.
The Memorial and Celebration of her Life will immediately follow the Visitation at the Columbarium at 4 p.m. till 5:45.
There is a reception scheduled for 6 p.m. held at the “Marietta Palace” Located at 1322 Powder Springs Rd. Marietta GA 30064 (Next to the Family Dollar).
