Scott Donald Kinkade

August 8, 1964 ~ April 24, 2021

Scott D. Kinkade, Age 56, passed away early morning April 24th, 2021. The last three months of his life, he faced a hard battle against Covid-19. He fought hard to return to his home and his family, of which he loved more than anything. Scott was born and raised in Elmira, NY and spent most of his childhood days playing his favorite sport: baseball. He was a very athletic child and a dedicated and loving son. He was very close to his mother, Priscilla Kinkade, and his step-mother, Gail Wagner, both of which he is survived by. He was also a wonderful husband, and married the love of his life, Fang H. Chen on October 12th, 2020 after 7 beautiful years together. Those seven years were the happiest years of his life as he got to spend them with his best friend and love. He was also a great father, and loved his baby girl, Coral Skye Kinkade, unconditionally. He is survived by both his wife and daughter, Fang H. Chen and Coral Skye Kinkade. Scott moved to Georgia in 1991 and soon became a United States Postal Worker for 20 years. A hard worker, he loved his job and made many good memories there, including working alongside his wife. A very creative man, he loved spending his days in his backyard, tending to his garden and creating a beautiful space where he could spend his summer nights beside his wife. He also loved movies, and had an impressive collection of them. Music was a passion of his and he was just beginning to learn how to play the guitar before he passed. A very caring man, he was always quick to offer a kind word to those around him, and had a beautiful smile that always comforted his family and close friends. He was intelligent and bright, and always took care of his family. He is gone much too soon, but left his family and friends with many memories to help in his passing. His service will be held on Wednesday, the 28th, from 6-8 pm at Southern Cremations & Funerals, 1861 Dallas Hwy, Marietta, GA 30064. Please click here to attend the service livestream.
