Shawn L Ochiltree

Shawn Lafayette Ochiltree, age 45 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. He is preceded in death by his brother, Patrick; paternal grandparents, Dewitt and Nancy Ochiltree; maternal grandparents, David and Louise Crowe; mother-in-law, Sherry Janise Hankinson; and sister-in-law, Denise Key. Shawn was born April 23, 1975 in Decatur, Georgia. Shawn graduated from Jonesboro High School and that same year he and Misty met. Shawn loved Georgia Bulldogs football and enjoyed fishing and going to the mountains. Shawn drove for Martin-Brower and in 2001 won Rookie of the Year in the National Truck Driving Championship, but his most proud achievement was his family and especially his son Trent; Shawn loved spending their time and gaming together. Shawn dearly loved his family and was a loyal family man and was strong in his Christian faith in God. Shawn is survived by his wife, Misty; son, Trent; mother, Sandra Ochiltree; father, David Ochiltree; sister, Ronda (Al) Martinez; father-in-law, Joe Ward, brothers and sisters in-law, Robert Barwick, Cale Ward, Chaz Ward, Tracy MacDonald, Aryana Ward; along with a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life is being held for immediate family at McBrayer Park in Hampton, GA Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1pm.
