Sherily Jane (Metcalfe) Alford, age 70, passed away suddenly on September 17, 2018, in Johns Creek, GA. She is survived by her daughter, Tara Lynn (Alford) and her husband Andrew Shannon and her granddaughter Madison Shannon; her Sister/best friend, Curlie (Willie) Arnold; her bother Carl (Lois) Metcalfe; her extended nieces/daughters, Dr. Melanie (Samuel) Dunson; Natalie Arnold; and her extended nephew/son, Brannon (Christin)Metcalfe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Minnie Metcalfe.
Sherily was born in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School Class of 1965. She had a long career at Inland-General Motors where she retired from. Sherily moved to Atlanta, GA in 2008 to be near her only daughter and granddaughter.
Sherily definitely loved the finer things in life and believed in preserving all that she purchased. She loved keeping her home beautiful and was an avid boxing fan.
A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for September 22, 2018 at 2:30pm with a reception to follow at 3:30pm.
