Sherrill Thone

Sherrill Louvenia Thone, age 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior November 28, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Thone III, whom she married in 1956. She worked at Rich’s in downtown Atlanta early in their marriage before devoting her life to her family as a homemaker. She also worked at Chick-fil-A Dwarf house in Riverdale and loved being an Avon Representative. She loved the Bible, church, singing, playing the piano, sewing, crochet, and giving to others. Sherrill is survived by her children, Brian Thone, Alisa Merritt, Donna Huff and her husband, David, Valerie Martin and her husband Samuel, brothers R.J. Salter, Troy Pearson, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 4, at 11:00 am from the chapel of Southern Cremations and Funerals at Holly Hill with Dr. Samuel Martin officiating. Family will receive friends Thursday, December 3, from 5:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment Holly Hill Memorial Park.
