Steven Archie Weaver passed away on July 12, 2020, at Athens, GA. He was 34 years old.
Steven was born September 10, 1985, at Macon, Georgia. He attended Crisp County High School. Steven graduated from Middle Georgia College, Georgia Tech University, and the University of Georgia, where he received his Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Science in Forest Resources with a focus on GIS. Steven met Olivia Mangrum in Athens while attending UGA, and they were married May 24, 2015. Steven worked for the past six years at the University of Georgia Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources (SREF). Steven and Olivia welcomed a son, William Thomas Weaver (Will), in March of 2019. Steven enjoyed all things outdoors: Fishing, camping, kayaking, four-wheeling and hiking. His many hobbies included woodworking, winemaking, and gardening, Steven loved to volunteer his time judging at 4-H competitions and helping with the Shine ministry at Athens Church of Christ -- a special needs ministry. He was a faithful Christian and loved his church family. Steven is survived by his wife, Olivia Gail Weaver of Athens, GA; his son, William Thomas Weaver of Athens, GA; his parents, William Archie and Annie Mae Weaver of Cordele, GA; and his brother, Jeffrey David Weaver of Douglas, GA. A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a college fund for Will Weaver. Please contact Leslie Boby at lboby@sref.info if you would like to donate.

You are constantly on our hearts. Losing a great man so young is devastating but I know Will will carry on Stevens legacy. Praying for you daily.
