Thomas Kenneth Dragoone was born October 4,1936 in Kane, Pa to Francisco
Sylvestre Dragoone & Garnet Mills Dragoone. Tom grew up in Smethport, Pa where he
graduated high school. He joined the US Air Force upon graduation and was stationed at
Hunter Air Force Base in Savannah, Ga. He attended Armstrong College in Savannah and
then UGA majoring in Mathematics.
A loving husband & father, he had many joys and hobbies. Gardening, hunting,
golfing, woodworking and cooking just to name a few. He was incredibly skilled at
everything he touched, but his love of family, home & food far outweighed everything else in
life.
Tom & Brenda Rutledge married on April 15, 1966, having just celebrated sixty years
of marriage this year. They have three daughters, Elizabeth Patterson (husband John
Patterson), Michelle Baker (former husband & friend Buzz Baker Jr.), Bettina Hall (husband
Jack Hall Jr.) and 6 grandchildren, Nate Baker (partner Austin Castelin), Sophia Baker
(fiancé Justin Woodard), Olivia Patterson (partner Cannon Williams), Julia Bishop (husband
Brandon Bishop), Katie Hall (partner Justin Magers) and Matthew Thomas Hall. He also had
one dearly loved Godson, Richard Dragoone along with many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Richard Dragoone, Emogene
Marinik, Frank Dragoone, Louis Dragoone, Pauline McGavisk and John Ross Jr.
Family & friends will be received on Thursday June 25
th from 2:00 -3:30 pm with a
memorial service immediately following. Visitation with family & service will be located at
Southern Cremation & Funerals at Cheatham Hill Columbarium, 1861 Dallas Highway SW,
Marietta Ga 30064.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital as this was
a cause dear to his heart
