Tom O. Stanley, 82, of Marietta, GA passed away on the morning of October 6, 2020. He was born on June 3, 1938 in Calypso, NC to the late William Ervin and Kathleen Morgan Stanley. He worked in the telecom industry most all of his life, attending to his clients across the country. Like many of his generation he was independent starting at age 18, served in the Army Reserves and everything he provided for his family resulted from his hard work and strong work ethic.
Tom’s Celebration of Life will be Saturday October 10th, 2020 at Southern Cremations and Funerals, in Marietta, Georgia at 2pm. The service will be privately attended by friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Jenna Stanley, wife Ann Stanley and brothers James Ervin and Harold Stanley.
He is survived by his daughter Sonya Olin Stanley of Morehead City, NC, her children Eric Elton, Alexandra Dare, Joshua and Samantha Kraszeski and great grandson Sullivan Lee Kraszeski. He is also survived by his son Chris Stanley of Sandy Springs, GA, daughter-in-law Christina Stanley and grandchildren Addyson Thomas and Maxton Christopher Stanley. He leaves many lifelong friends and neighbors who were an extension of his family.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who sent their condolences, thoughts and prayers during these last months of Tom’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to St. Jude.
