Timothy Thorpe

Timothy Noland Thorpe was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1970 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the older of two children born to Daniel and Jacqueline Thorpe. He transitioned from this life on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Tim, as he was affectionately called, attended Woodward Academy and graduated from Benjamin E. Mays High School. He attended Morehouse College and West Georgia College. Tim was baptized at the age of 15 and attended Simpson Street Church of Christ, where he belonged until his death. Tim had a great love for the outdoors (camping, fishing, jet skiing, cars, and being happy. He recently got to achieve a dream of skydiving with his father. He believed in being positive and enjoying life, and he did just that with his friends and family. He would light up a room with his comedic and outgoing personality. Tim loved his children, granddaughter, friends, and family. Prior to his death, he was working with his Dad, and his dad’s friend, Wilbur Maddox, in the home improvement business. Tim is survived by his children Tyler, Taylor, Tamia, granddaughter Tylyn; father and mother Daniel Thorpe and Jacqueline Thorpe; sister and brother-in-law Danielle and Ken Armstead, nephews Kenneth III, Jaden, niece Corinne; stepmom Patricia Thorpe; step- brother and sister Charles and Kimberly Judson and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces, nephews.   1. Rest in peace my brother. Don’t know what the future holds, but may I see you again at the crossroads for more laughs and shenanigans!

  2. I first met my cousin when he was almost three years old in 1973. I always enjoyed visiting him in Atlanta when I would visit during the summer. He was like a little brother to me. I will miss him dearly.
