Mrs. Tommie Kathryn Gosdin, age 78, of Palmetto, GA died Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough, GA. She was born in Stockbridge, GA daughter of the late Oscar Walden and the late Bessie Mae Foster. She was formally of Red Oak Community, a member of Red Oak Methodist Church, and she graduated at Berry Academy in Rome, GA. She was the widow of R.L. Gosdin. She is survived by daughters and son in law: Donna Carol Gilbert and Derek of Fayetteville, GA, Thelma (Kay) Anderson and Steve of Palmetto, GA, grandchildren: Stephen Brian Anderson of Palmetto, GA, Ashley Michelle Linch of Fayetteville, GA, and great-granddaughter, Taylor Grace Linch of Fayetteville, GA. Funeral services for Tommie Kathryn Gosdin will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 11 AM in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Wendell Burdette officiating. Internment will follow at Herrens Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Woodland, AL at 2 PM central time with Rev. Ridley Palmer conducting the graveside. Friends may visit the family Monday,November 14, 2011 from 2 till 4 PM and from 5 till 8 PM at the funeral home.
