Virginia Louise (McFarlin) Savage, age 87, of Peachtree City, passed away on May 7, 2019, at Southland Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Thomaston, Georgia, on April 19, 1932, to Franklin Joel McFarlin and Opal Frances Crews. She retired as a secretary from the Immanuel Baptist Theological Seminary in Sharpsburg. She was preceded in death by husband, Thomas Horace Savage, brother, Wayne McFarlin, sister, Helen Teal and brother-in-law, Roy Teal. She is survived by: sons, Ronnie Savage (Marie) of Alvalton, Allen Savage of Gay, and Scott Savage (Dovie) of Woodbury; daughters, Barbara Matlack (Dean) of Cleveland, TN, Janice Garcia (Isaac) of Newnan, Linda White (David) of Douglasville, and Freda Bradshaw (Ben) of Canton; brothers, Harold McFarlin (Bobbie) of Gay, Roger McFarlin (Linda) of Gay, James McFarlin (Barbara) of Forest Park, George McFarlin (Judy) of Palmetto and Billy McFarlin (Linda) of Sharpsburg; sisters, Joanne Byrd (Harold) of Fairburn, and Carolyn Dunaway (Billy) of Barnesville; sister-in-law, Juanita McFarlin of Fairburn; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and three great-great-granchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019, at 3 PM in the chapel of Holly hill Funeral Home. Pastor Wayne Settles will officiate. Internment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 9, 2019, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Holly Hill Funeral Home is In charge of arrangements.
