William Clinton

September 16, 1944 ~ December 10, 2019

William Clinton Jr., age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Most family referred to him as Stake or Steak...any way you spell it, it sounds the same. More commonly among neighbors and friends he was known as Bill Clinton. Bill was born in Sawyerville, Alabama on September 16, 1944 to parents Willie Mae Richardson and William Clinton Sr. When Stake was growing up, he had a host of cousins and a couple of siblings who were raised together in what they refer to as "The Big House" by their Grandmother Hattie Belle Richards-Williams and Grandfather Sip Williams. As a young man he moved to Mobile, Alabama in 1965 where he met a young lady named Cora Jackson. She soon became his wife, Cora Clinton, and from their union created a beautiful baby Girl. Shortly thereafter they moved to Northern California where William resided for the next 40+ years until he moved to Marietta, Georgia in 2010 to be closer to his family. He is survived by his only child, Daughter Anita B. Clinton (Marietta, GA); his only Grandchild, Briyana Rutherford (Marietta, GA); and Sister Leona Clinton (Bessemer, AL). He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Hattie Belle Richards-Williams; Grandfather Sip Williams; Mother, Willie Mae Crawford (Bessemer, AL); Step-Father Paul Crawford, (Bessemer, AL); Father, William Clinton Sr.; Brother, Charles Jones; Brother, David Jordan; Niece, Patricia Clinton; and Nephew, Alejandro Clinton. William has a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins that he leaves behind. He also leaves behind those whom he always refers to as his "Best Friends" former Sister-in-Law, Mary Jackson (Riverdale, GA); Yula Kindell (Opelika, AL); and Geraldine Crawford (Mobile, AL). Anyone who knew William, Bill, or Stake (however you refered to him) knows he was the biggest football buff of all times. He could tell you the plays, the picks, and even predict who would win the game before it was played. He did this with about 90% accuracy all the time. His all time FAVORITE football team is the San Francisco 49'ers. He and his Cousin Luddie(San Francisco, CA) would be on the phone all the time talking about the games and predicting the outcomes before the game even aired. Bill will be missed very much by everyone. This Soldier of God can now rest in peace.
