Xiu Zhu-Sophie Zhou passed away at her home in Sandy Spring on July 20, 2016, with her husband-Jackson and daughter-Eva in attendance, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Sophie was born in Shanghai, China on October 28, 1931 to Zhou Yunqing and Xie Shuzhen. She worked as senior accountant in Shanghai Petroleum and Oil company before she retired. She is a traditional Chinese lady who devoted her life to her family. She likes knitting, sewing, crochet, reading and build puzzle.
Sophie is survived by her husband, Jackson Xiao, her children, Bo-wen Xiao and Eva Xiao Barton.
Memorial service is scheduled from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Saturday July 30 at the beautiful hill top Columbarium Hall at Southern Cremations and Funerals at Cheatham Hill, in Marietta. Door opens to friends and family members at 3pm for small gathering and visiting.
Appreciation Dinner is scheduled at 6pm on July 30, 2016 after the service at Oriental Pearl Seafood Restaurant near China Town at: 5299 New Peachtree Road, Chamblee, Ga30341.
